About Us
Our Story
We are a Brazilian founded fashion and creative brand based in Ireland.
As the founder, I've been designing and selling clothes since 2020. What started as a personal project, making clothes in my room, has grown into a successful brand thanks to the incredible support of everyone who has bought from us, followed us and believed in what we were building. We often sell out every drop and can't keep up with demand, and although it is a good sign for us, we apologize that not everyone can purchase our pieces and join our movement.
Being born in Brazil and growing up in Ireland has naturally influenced the identity of Estrela. Our designs and creative direction draw inspiration from Brazilian culture and nature, Portuguese heritage and Irish influence, bringing different parts of our story together. Being a first-generation immigrant heavily impacts my view on life; Irish culture has been ingrained in me since young, while still heavily connecting to my Brazilian and Portuguese roots.
The name Estrela means star in Portuguese. There are countless stars in the universe, but each one has its own place and shines in its own way. For us, this represents individuality, creativity and self-expression. We believe everyone has their own story and their own way of shining.
Studio represents the space where creativity happens. It's where ideas are developed, designs are created, and different influences can come together to make something new. For us, Estrela Studio is more than just clothing it's a creative space inspired by the cultures, places and people around us.
What Inspires Us
A lot of our inspiration comes from the world around us.
From Brazilian culture, landscapes and nature to Portuguese architecture, azulejos and heritage, as well as the environment and life we've experienced in Ireland, these influences help shape the color's, designs and ideas behind Estrela.
We value nature, creativity, individuality, heritage and ambition, and we want these values to be reflected in everything we create.
My love for fashion started long before Estrela, through watching my mother work hard to make ends meet. Since young, my mother used to buy majority of my clothes from second-hand shops, which introduced me to many styles and she often upcycled them to fix wear or to fit me. Her storys of when she used to sell bags and clothing on the side of the street, and seeing her work, determination and connection to fashion had a lasting influence on me.
